All of our kitchenware is hand forged in Maine, which is the process of heating metal to increase its malleability and then working it in various ways, often with a hammer and anvil. When the piece is finished, we remove the scale and apply a wax coating, which protects the surface and leaves a beautiful finish.
Many of our cooking utensils can be seasoned and maintained similarly to a cast iron pan, so they will serve you forever if properly cared for.
